I take pride in my extensive experience within the coffee industry. As a dedicated coffee consultant based in Stroud, UK, I specialize in providing services that enhance the skills of baristas and streamline coffee business operations. My commitment to quality and continuous improvement drives every service I offer.
In my career I have held Head Barista and Trainer positions for various reputable establishments. This has given me great opportunity to extensively learn areas of the business including machine servicing & maintenance; workflow assessments; menu design; product sourcing; capital purchasing and more. This work also lead me to become skilled in advanced latte art techniques, eventually bringing me to compete against Alex Zeneden (UK Latte Art Champion of numerous years) at the London Coffee Festival.
After moving back to the South-west in the early 2020s I began working for a specialty coffee company that deployed units at major UK events including Silverstone Formula One, Goodwood Festival of Speed, Moto GP, numerous County shows and more. For this work I would install coffee machines, pumps, boilers and all associated equipment on an almost daily basis. My existing knowledge of machinery rendered me the first point of call for any troubleshooting and ad-hoc repairs as required.
Outside of coffee service and maintenance I have written articles for Perfect Daily Grind Media which feature on the website for New Ground Magazine. In this capacity I would interview industry leading professionals ranging from top Youtubers to National Head of Departments for companies including Sanremo, Heylo and more. The content of these journalistic articles covered subjects such as coffee preparation, the invention and innovation of the espresso machine, and how equipment branding can affect the aesthetics and perceived value of a coffee shop.
More recently I have been devoting my time to training and the development of coffee culture in the Cotswolds. As a part of this I aim to connect partners with local suppliers in order to reduce food-mileage. I am particularly keen to work with businesses who give consideration towards their impact on the environment and support the growth of their local communities.
